Perceptual Rendering

A perception-first reading layer (PoC)

Same information. Different renderings. The claim is modest and testable: people often struggle less with the content than with the presentation. This prototype lets readers switch how text is structured (bottom bar) and tune readability (left panel) — without changing the underlying content.

What this is

How to use it

  1. Pick a topic below.
  2. Switch rendering modes in the bottom bar (Skimmer / Stepper / Deep / Visual / Socratic).
  3. Adjust comfort controls in the left panel (font, size, spacing, width, theme).
  4. Notice which mode makes things “click” faster, with less fatigue.

What is a black hole — really?
Dense concept, high misconception load. Great stress test for structure.
🧠
What is entropy (without equations)?
Abstract idea with slippery intuition. Rendering should matter a lot here.

How to design a great cheese board
Low-stakes procedural problem. Tests whether the layer generalizes beyond STEM.
